The children really enjoyed their Christmas lunch today. It was so festive in the dining hall with their colourful jumpers and hats, decorative table cloths, jolly Christmas songs and a delicious lunch. Oh and of course Christmas crackers, you can’t have Christmas lunch without them.
We have been very busy with all the exciting Christmas activities in the classroom. We have been writing lists, creating salt dough decorations, decorating the tree, retelling the Christmas story, exploring the snow in the water tray and pretending to have Christmas dinner with our friends. What a fabulous time of year.
The icy, cold weather has enabled us to create these amazing pieces of natural ice art. We think they look beautiful. The leaves have been frozen in a bowl with water.
Well done to today’s merit winners. We are very proud of both of you.
This week we have been learning about the concept of subtraction. We have been collecting different numbers of cubes and then taking some away. We then counted how many we had left and that we now had fewer.
Congratulations to you both on getting the merit this week. Well done!
This week the children have been learning all about Diwali and Hinduism. Today we have had a visitor come in to teach the children all about Hinduism. She brought in lots of fun activities and clothes for the children to enjoy in class.
