This afternoon we had a special visitor, named Kash, who came in to school to teach the children about Sikhism. The children learnt many facts about Sikhism. Kash also taught them about a Sikh wedding and then we went into the hall and enjoyed a Bhangra dance workshop as this is the type of dancing guests do after a Sikh wedding ceremony. I wonder if your child can tell you anything else they learnt today?
Well done to this weeks merit winners. We are very proud of you both.
This term our new connector is Rumble In The Jungle. The children have been telling us what they already know and what they would like to learn. We used the Talking Box at the beginning of the week as a focus to gain a deeper understanding of their knowledge of animals and the jungle. It’s going to be another very exciting term of learning.
Today we made a tent to camp in the jungle. The children used their imagination and creativity and they all pretended to be in the jungle.
